My treasure : Chikuhodo brush

Treasure, that is what you are
Honey you are my golden star
You can make my wish come true
If you let me treasure you
(By Bruno Mars)

One of my treasures have finally arrived! It is Chikuhodo makeup brush from Japan. I have never bought makeup brushes brand from Japan but I heard this brand is popular in their origin and they manufacture the brushes by handmade, assuming all handmade is good quality. So here is my review on 3 brushes I bought:

1. G8 : powder brush
2. G11 : contour brush
3. G16 : cheek brush

Handle type : wooden handle.
Ferrule : gold coated.
Go to Chikuhodo brush website for further specification.

The hair is seriously fluffy (compare to my current Bobbi Brown and MAC brushes). Densely packed bristles make it easy to apply makeup without leaving any residue on the brushes, this is what I don't see in any other makeup brushes. I tried G16 (in pointed shape)
, it is super easy to apply on the cheek area and it helped me to create dramatic and strong color on the cheek yet less sheer look.
For G11, I called this brush multi-purpose brush with thick-dense bristles, since It can be used for contouring/shading, blush brush and blending and highlight. Lastly I agree that G8 powder brush is very good at its function to apply finishing powder thinly on top of your makeup.
Overall I am happy with these but well too bad the handle is too short as I already used to my Bobbi Brown brushes with longer handle which allows me to control more strokes when applying makeup. Next, I surely might wanna try other brushes from Chikuhodo brand.

Here are my golden star.
